That's what it boils down to. I've been looking back over the responses I've received about my site and it looks like as a whole, most people seem to like the layout. There are those who have the opinion that its 'too much white space' and they say they can hardly read the text.
I am in no way saying that they are necessarily incorrect, because for them the site may in fact be too small. The whitespace complaint however should be expected with any site design using such a thin layout.
My intent was to provide a simple, clean, minimal environment in which one could quickly view the information he or she wished to see, I believe that I have accomplished that.
That is not saying that the site will not be in a state of flux, I have built this site on an entirely new, mostly untested framework. Things are bound to break, there are things that I'm sure I didn't foresee and will need repaired.
There are still features to be added to the modules which now exist, The blogging software is still in an alpha stage, and lacks the ability to add images directly into the blog post at this point, I still need to flesh out a decent wysiwyg editor for the blog module, so that I can edit and add posts at a quicker pace.
The admin side of things is painfully lacking and needs to be fleshed out further, though it too is subject to the same rules as the rest of the modules and thus a detailed communication system between modules needs to be worked out before going further than it already is.
I suppose that's about it for the moment, Ive already written far more than most will bother to read, so I will leave it at that.
